Thought I would get back to you ASAP on this one.

Don't be too quick to take the Almathera filters off of your page- I've
e-mailed Jolyon Ralph- Ex Technical Director of Almathera,

I'll paste the reply to my email here:

"Thanks for the email.

You are right, Almathera has been out of business since Feb 97 and the
plug-in filters we produced are a 'dead' product - although I still have
great fun using them.

What will actually happen to the plug-ins is a bit of a question at the
moment. I've considered releasing them as freeware or shareware, but there
could be residual rights issues in doing it that way that I've never had
the time to investigate properly.

I want to keep my options open to the future, which means that I'll
probably end up finding someone to take on the rights to them in exchange
for some benefit for myself (which may be but isn't necessarily
financial).

So I can't give a blanket authorization to say that it's ok for anyone to
put these on their site, but at the same time I am rather pleased that
people are still finding them useful.

So, this isn't an authorization to allow indescriminite downloads of my
software, or links to sites that do this, but at the same time I am
certainly not asking you to remove any links to such sites - with the
proviso that sometime in the future this could change, and I would
appreciate your cooperation then.

Sorry for sounding extraordinarily vague about this - but I've really not
given it too much thought as yet :)

Take care,

Jolyon Ralph (ex Technical Director, Almathera)"

So as I understand the reply to my e-mail regarding the filters. You can
keep them up, until further notice! If they become shareware, then you may
have to change the way you have them, but who knows, perhaps they will
become freeware!?
